Problem

This message occurrs when your Time License File is not installed on your PDA. This usually occurrs when you install without an internet connection.

Solution
For PocketPC Devices:
The 7-day license expiration occurs when you do not register your software after installation. On a PocketPC device you only need to synchronize again. A pop-up screen will ask you for your subscription information and your license information will then be automatically installed with any available updates. Please synchronize your device at this time. If the registration screen does not appear then you will need to turn the program's autoupdate filter on.

    Windows XP and Activesync users:
  1. Open Activesync, connect your PDA and wait for the device to appear as Connected and Synchronized.
  2. Select "options..." from the "tools" menu.
  3. Locate the program's autoupdate filter and check the box in front of it.
  4. Click OK and the device will begin to sync again- you will be asked your your registration information during the sync.

    Windows Vista Users:
  1. Open Windows Mobile Device Center.
  2. Connect your PDA and wait for the device to synchronize.
  3. Hover your mouse over "Mobile Device Settings".
  4. Click on "Change Content Sync Preferences"
  5. Scroll down to locate the program's autoupdate filter and check the box in front of it.
  6. Click OK.

For Palm OS Devices:
The 7 day grace period appears on Palm OS devices if you have either not installed the time license file when performing a manual installation or have skipped registration when using the Windows Installer. The device can either be registered by hotsyncing again on a PC or by reinstalling on a Mac.

    Windows Hotsync users:
  1. Connect your PDA to your PC using the sync cable/cradle and begin a hotsync.
  2. During the hotsync you will be asked to register your email address, password, and subscription key.
  3. Please enter all of the information as it appears on your account page.

    Mac Hotsync users:
  1. Download the "Zip File" from your tarascon.com account by selecting your current subscription key and username and then clicking on the "Zip Download" button.
  2. Open Palm Desktop and select "install handheld files" from the HotSync menu at the top of your computer screen.
  3. Add or drag the 5 Tarascon files (1 .prc and 4 .pdb) into the list. You may have to expand the saved Zip File using a utility such as "Stuffit" before you can drag the 5 files.
  4. If you want to install to your memory card, make sure you set the .prc file to go to main memory and set the other 4 .pdb files to go to your memory card.
  5. The files should install during your next hotsync.
